Wildlife Illustrations - How are they Created? click here I have a vast collection of wildlife and other natural history illustrations available for licence. Just email your requirements or species needed and I will email low resolution jpg files for your perusal. Your chosen illustrations will be sent as high resolution tiff files, either posted on CD or send via your FTP server. Prices are provided on request. chris@chris-shields.com for further information. The following gallery displays a very small selection of Chris Shields' illustration work. Chris has a library of several thousand of his wildlife illustrations available for purchase. Publishers and art buyers please email with details of your requirements, you will receive a same day response. Chris also accepts originally commissioned illustrations which are all painted in watercolour and gouache on Arches hot-pressed watercolour paper , they are normally produced same size, but can be painted in a larger format should it be required. There are no computer generated images! He is currently working on a projects for Harper Collins, The RSPB and The Field Studies Council but is still available for other commissions. Chris became a self-employed artist and illustrator in 1983, specializing in natural history and wildlife illustration . Since then he has produced to date in excess of twenty thousand illustrations in over 300 books, as well as illustrations for numerous magazines, calendars, greeting cards, posters and jigsaw puzzles for organizations including: The BBC, Harper Collins, A & C Black, Usborne Publishing, The World Wide Fund for Nature, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, The Field Studies Council and The Wildlife Trusts.
